As one of the children of a family of nine, I know that cooking is a lot to work almost full time. Once a month for cooking has been a lifesaver for our family. In the beginning, but when we heard, first cooking 30 meals in one day, without sound, is possible. Only after she had tried, but which are not only possible, but can be very easy and fun!

Blessings

If you are taking in what looks like a skeptic daunting task for you, let me begin with some stocks of goods, which have given to our family once a month for cooking.

• It has saved us many hours trying to figure out what for dinner and to answer the question "What to eat?"

• We are in a better position, the hospitality to the families of others as the main dish is done and show it in the freezer too. We (usually in advance planning for this doubling or tripling seven to ten of theRecipes> on the day of cooking, such as "company meals.") It is also much easier to get food to needy families when prepared dishes in the freezer and heated the drop of a hat. (We are also planning for this by preparing many of the dishes in disposable utensils.)

• Saves time (not just the mountains of dishes one day a month, not every day, have not even started dinner at 4:30 or thaw before ordinary clock ... just pull out to dinnerin the morning.), and the money (usually save a lot of purchase) in greater numbers.

• We are closer as they spend a special day with family cooking these meals taken.

• This is an excellent lesson in home economics for their children. Mom always the oldest girls plan the menu, shopping list, and the strategy for the day cooking. Often we have to buy food, too.

Planning

Proper planning for a day cooking with critical success. I usually startPlanning at least one week in advance. First, choose which day is the day of cooking. Clear your schedule that day. Wishes to focus its energies entirely on cooking.

Menu Planning: After you have chosen the day to cook, start planning the menu. Go through your cookbooks and find recipes suitable for freezing. The fight for diversity. My list usually includes: dinner plate, meatloaf, meatballs, layered casseroles, soups, chili, hamburgers, meatless dishes, and so on. VerifyIt includes a series of family favorites, plus new recipes you can try. You do not want in your freezer with meals for the family can not find appetizing to fill! If writing the menu, and be sure to write the cookbook and page number of the recipe originated. In addition, select whether you are planning to double or triple the recipe.

Make use of your shopping list: the menu bar, note the quantity of ingredients for each recipe requires. I likeingredients categorized as five to seven different lists (meats, vegetables, cheese, pasta, spices, etc.). Use these lists and combine all ingredients, such as a definitive list. For example, if you write three prescriptions pm call for a pound of ground beef, that "15 pounds of flesh" in the final shopping list.

Having made their final shopping list, and be sure to check their cupboards to see what you can hold in your hand. You probably have morespices. But make sure if you have four teaspoons of garlic powder, you really need both in the boat. I have not thoroughly examined before, and actually have the nerves.

I found it very useful to keep separate the "food preparation list" along with my grocery list which states what the article, I will need to carry large quantities (as if the elements of its list of "20 pounds of chicken breast, note by his side, how many cups havecooked and diced, as many chicken breasts should be cooked, and the extreme left, how many have left frozen, etc.).

You also want to make sure you have plenty of freezer bags and paper ready. These will be in his day the kitchen of crucial importance.

Current Cuisine Strategy: It is recommended that the basic strategy of days cooking what is going to do, when to develop. This is not an exhaustive list, but you save time and trouble if you use the basic order of what you have planned isCook on. If you are pleased to be working together as a family to cook, plan, which is responsible for the tasks. While all people need to be flexible, that will save effort finally resolved most have advanced programming.

Shopping: The day before you start cooking, shopping. Make sure you do not rush through this. Read and thoroughly review your list to get the best deal.

Kitchen

The sooner you can start in the morning, the better. It begins with the preparation of food, rubbing cut the cheese, onion, or whatever greater the preparation of his "list of food preparation," says you have to do. If you plan to make soup, you should start early, as they are cooked in the more general need.

Cooking meat is one of the most time-consuming projects and is likely to see the end of Browning, minced meat and cook chicken most of the day! Extent possible, all the burners on the stove in the sameTime.

Keep soapy water in the sink at all times and will become the "dish duty." Once you use a dish, you wash it. This saves you from having a huge confusion at the end of the day. It might also be useful to remove the kitchen five minutes per hour cleaning or take to clear the counters and the things you no longer use.

Freezing

What to do with the completed dishes? Here are some guidelines for freezing:

• We are alwaysHead of the kitchen table, ready as a recipe for our "zone". We often have someone who specifically brought to the fair working conditions, things and marking them in the freezer for the kitchen table.

• correct labeling is an important element in the effort you know what you need in the freezer. Be sure to label the containers with the recipe, the cookbook arrived, the page number, how many serves, and any additional instructions for the dish. Also, make a list of all recipesto do, and to freeze and serve as many of them outside the freezer.

• Transfer of soup, a large bowl and chill for about an hour. You can use the soup in plastic freezer bags or plastic containers with lids (32 ounces of cottage cheese and yogurt containers are good for this).

• Most other recipes can to plastic freezer bags will be transferred. Fill the bags very full, the food to expand as frozen. Do not place objects, the still hot in the bags. AreProbably the stock split at the seams and have a huge mess to deal with!

• Use smaller labeled bags for cheese or anything else will be sprinkled in the shell, once cooked. Be sure to keep in a handy place in the freezer.

• If the recipe is something like lasagna which can not be frozen in a plastic bag, freeze on the size of pan the recipe calls for, cover with aluminum foil and label them.

I totally recommend that you give once, try a kitchen month. IfThey are like us, you will soon wonder how you cook without this! You can also simplify this plan and only for two weeks at a time, begins to boil.
